JA Asia Pacific has partnered with the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation (PMIEF) to equip youth across the region with essential project management skills. Initiated in 2022, this collaboration aims to enable youth to realize their potential and transform lives through project management and to inspire youth to achieve their goals, making dreams a reality.
A cornerstone of this partnership is the integration of project management training into the JA Company Program, which encourages students to create and manage their own companies, fostering entrepreneurial and leadership skills. Through this initiative, students engage in project management training via various models, including special engagement opportunities like Project Management Workshops during JA Asia Pacific's flagship event, the Company of the Year Competition (COYC) and educational videos to watch. Additionally, students have the chance to join Project Management workshops at participating JA locations.
The missions of both organizations align closely, emphasizing the development of young leaders equipped to navigate and succeed in a complex world. JA's focus on entrepreneurs and financial literacy complements PMIEF's dedication to project management education, creating a synergy that prepares youth to become adept leaders and innovators. By integrating project management into the JA Company Program, the partnership aims to reach 127,000 youth, enabling their full potential through project management. This collaboration not only enhances educational experiences of students but also contributes to building a pipeline of skilled, entrepreneurial, and ethically minded young leaders ready to fuel industries, drive innovation, create social stability, and strengthen economies.
